What We Believe
What we believe. . .
. . .About the Bible: We believe that the Bible, both old and new Testaments, is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct. We believe it is the product of holy, God-appointed men who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct.
(Isaiah. 55:11, Psalms 119:9, John 1:1, 2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
. . .About God: There is one God, Creator of all things, Ruler of the universe, infinitely perfect, eternally and equally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
(Gensis 1:1, 26, Psalms 90:2, Matthew 28:19)
. . .About Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is God the Son. On earth, Jesus was 100 percent God and 100 percent man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and performed miracles. He died on the cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins, atoning for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He arose from the dead on the third day to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory.
( Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:2 and 20:28; Ephesians 1:20; Colossians 1:15-18, Hebrews 2:14, Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5 and 3:16).
. . .About the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is a person, and is equal to God the Father and Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He is present in the world to convict mankind of their sins and make them aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian power for living, understanding spiritual truth and guidance in doing the will of God. He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved by which they serve God through His church.
(Gensis 1:2; John 14:28 and 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:13 and 5:18-19, Galations 1:26-27; 2 Corinthians 3:17)
. . .About Mankind: Mankind is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, and is the crowning work of His creation. Through Adam’s transgression, man is marred by an attitude of disobedience to God called sin. Man is spiritually dead and separated from God.
(Genesis 1:26-27, Psalms 8:3-6, Romans 5:14 and 6:23)
. . .About Salvation: Salvation is God's free gift to all through the shed blood and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but we must accept it. We can never gain salvation by self-improvement or good works. Only when we repent of our sin, turn to Jesus Christ by faith and accept Gods forgiveness are we saved. Only those who receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God, and upon death are united with Him in Heaven. The true believer is secure in this salvation for eternity.
(Ezekial 18:30, John 1:12 and 3:16 and 14:6; Romans 5:1 and 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 2:3, Titus 3:5, 2 Peter 3:9 and 1 John 5:11-13)
. . .About the Return of Jesus Christ: The personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ is our hope and has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. There will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord in Heaven and of the unbeliever to everlasting conscious punishment separated from God in Hell.
(John 3:16 and 14:1-3 and 21:23; Acts 1:1-10; 1 Thessolonians 1:10 and 2:19 and 3:13 and 4:16-18; Revelation 22:20)

We also believe. . .
. . .About Baptism: Jesus commanded all believers to be baptized by immersion in water. This is a testimony of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.
(Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12, Acts 8:36-39)
. . .About the Lord's Supper: The Lord's Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. We observe an open communion for all true believers, and only believers should share in it.
(Matthew 26:26, 1 Corinthians 11:24-34)
. . .About Prayer: Prayer is a privilege and a personal communication between man and God. We are always open to Holy Spirit-led spontaneous prayer in any service.
(Nehemiah 2:4, Psalms 5: 1-3, Matthew 14:23-24)
