Newcomer's Class
New Member's Class
The New Member's Class is a topical class that covers Stonegate's beliefs on the topics listed below. Because it is a topical class, new members may enter at any point and may attend until all topics have been covered.
The class goes to the Bible for authority and encourages discussion in covering the following topics:
Ø The Bible – The inspired word of God
Ø Jesus Christ – Who He is and what He did for us
Ø The Ordinances – Baptism and the Lord's Supper
Ø Church Discipline – Our responsibilities.
Ø The Elder-Lead Church – How an elder-lead church works
Ø Your Spiritual Gifts – How to identify and use them
A community church is not exactly like any church you have ever been a member of before, and we encourage you to takes this class so you will understand what we believe and why we govern ourselves as we do. Attendance in the class is not required for membership, but we believe you find the class both informative and compelling.
