Dick Wooten is senior pastor of Stonegate Community Church with additional responsibilities as administrator.
Dick is a lifelong Waco resident, and was one of the founding members of Stonegate Community Church at its inception in August of 1998.
He was graduated from Richfield High School, attended Baylor University, and was graduated from Howard Payne University. While at Baylor, Dick played football, and is still a diehard Baylor fan.
Most of his career has been in jobs helping people: Child Protective Services, Hillcrest Hospital, and Stonegate Community Church. He served as a volunteer in charge of men's ministries for several months and was hired as full time associate pastor in April of 1999. He served in that capacity and as administrator until being elected pastor on September 28, 2008..
Stonegate was blessed to be able to license Dick into the Gospel Ministry in April of 2004.
Dick has two sons, Bryan and Chad, two grandchildren, and an Alaskan malamute that comes to work with Dick from time-to-time. Bryan and his wife are Southern Baptist foreign missionaries.
